Located at Songjiang University Town, Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES) library (hereinafter called the library) was officially put into use at October 2005. With a total floor area of over 27 thousands square meters, library is operated with open-shelves access and computer management. It has 7 Reading Rooms integrated with book borrowing and reading and 1 Basement  Book Vault. It is also equipped with academic report hallmeeting room and 14 Teacher Study Rooms.

Currently owned a stock of over 1.6 million volumes and almost 3000 kinds of periodical subscriptions in Chinese and foreign languages, library has strengthened the construction of digital library and possessed 47 databases in home and abroad, for example, CNKI,CIDPDRCnet and etc. for full-text database in China and ACSASMECIDP,JCR,Incites,ScienceDirect,SpringerLinkEBSCOHostEmerald,Ei,ESI,PQDDWeb of Science abroad. In the form of Mirroring, it has purchased Wanfang DatabaseChina Conference Paper Database and CNKI databasewsbgt(Online Lectureroom)DRCnet(Development Research Center of the State Council of P.R.China)Global English Multimedia Database and etc.

Library of Shanghai University of Engineering Science is a teaching and service oriented library with all-round functionsvarious document forms and a rational team of professional working staffs. It has composed of advanced service facilities and technology and has gradually fostered the traits of Shanghai economy feature and university specialization. Followed the demand of  discipline development , library has collected books which emphasized on engineering technology and costume art and has special collections on automobile and aviation.

Library has consistently pursued the discipline of “ Reader OrientationTop Service” and embraced with various modernized service method to provide quality service. Our  service includes but not limited to:
